It’s been a long time coming, but Tryon is finally going to have an authentic seafood restaurant! Not surprisingly, the genius behind this new restaurant is none other than Katie and Don of Katie D’s NY Bagels and Deli . Having made that business a success, they decided to expand and will open K.D.’S Sea Shack. Little known fact… Katie is from Long Island, so not only is this a dream come true, but she truly brings experience and authenticity when it comes to Seafood!
Scheduled to open early September, the dining room transports you into a lovely casual seaside theme and features a full bar. The Menu is loaded with fresh seafood featuring old school classics like Clams Casino, Oyster Rockefeller, Peel and Eat Shrimp and Oysters and Clams on ½ Shell, Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Rolls as well as house made Conch Chowder and French Onion Soup. Burgers and BLT’S get creative new spins along with plenty of sides like Hand Cut Fries and Conch Fritters. Dinner items include Fresh Lobster, Catch of the Day, Crab Cakes, Lobster Mac N Cheese, King Crab Legs and for meat lovers a Filet. Katie has equipped the kitchen with 3 fryers, one to be used just for gluten free dishes and requests.
