Where to Eat in Spartanburg
Chef Patricia’s Personal Recommendations for Food Adventures in Our Area
La Taverna – Not many people know about this place because living here in the south many folks think good Italian food comes from the Olive Garden or places like that! We are transplants from Chicago and New York so we know Pizza! It’s by far the best slice as we refer it you will find in the South. The entrees are authentic and huge so maybe order a few things and go “Family Style.”
Mon Amie – Spartanburg, SC. I never thought I would find an Authentic French Luncheonette especially in Spartanburg but I did! Amazing Crepes, both Sweet and Savory made to order right in front of you. Or try the Tuna Nicoise Salad and the Frites, so delicious. I am not a desert person but the craftsmanship and beauty of their deserts do tempt me. Take a few home and continue the experience. Beware, I am not the only person who knows about this place, be there early and note they are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Chipotle – Spartanburg S.C. I know it’s a chain but a really good one and sometimes when I am in a hurry I need a go to place! The food is packed with flavor and made with all Organic ingredients and bonus I can see what is being put on my plate. I build my own Bowl, combining Spicy Tofu with Cilantro Rice, Black Beans and Scratch Made Guacamole for under $10.
